Political Action: The Gainesville (FL) Alumni Chapter advances voter awareness and civic participation through targeted social media outreach, Empowerment Saturday, Souls to the Polls, and partnership with the Meet and Mobilize Collaborative. These efforts inform, engage, and mobilize local voters while reinforcing the chapter’s commitment to an empowered community. The chapter also maintains an active presence at Alachua County School Board meetings, monitoring issues affecting students, families, and educational equity.
Social Action: The Gainesville (FL) Alumni Chapter’s social action initiatives focus on youth advocacy, violence prevention, and health awareness. A cornerstone initiative is the Annual Youth Summit, which brings together youth, parents, educators, law enforcement, and community advocates for candid dialogue about academic success, personal responsibility, community safety, and the pressures facing young people. The summit reflects the chapter’s commitment to proactive, education-centered intervention through prevention, mentorship, and accountability.
