The Gainesville (FL) Alumni Chapter fully supports Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.’s prohibition against pledging, hazing, and all unauthorized membership activities.
Hazing may include physical abuse, mental harassment, humiliation, forced exercise, sleep deprivation, personal service, isolation, alcohol- or drug-related activities, or any other conduct that violates Fraternity policy or applicable law. These activities are not requirements for membership and are never authorized by Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
The Membership Training Academy is the only authorized process for obtaining membership in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Prospective members must reject and report anyone attempting to establish underground pledging, interest groups, or other unauthorized membership activities.
For official membership qualifications and information, visit the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. membership page.
If someone is injured or in immediate danger, call 911 or contact local law enforcement immediately.
Suspected or known hazing may also be reported through the following resources:
The hotline accepts calls 24 hours a day. Reports may be submitted anonymously and are forwarded to the national organization identified in the report. An online hazing report may also be submitted through the Hazing Prevention Network.
When reporting suspected hazing, provide as much information as possible, including the organization or chapter involved, location, dates, names of individuals involved, and a description of the suspected activity.
Do not participate in, submit to, conceal, or attempt to handle suspected hazing privately.
Program questions, membership and reclamation inquiries, partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities are welcome.
