Brother, Dr. Woodrow “Max” McClain Parker. Recently inducted into the Stillman College Hall of Fame during their Sesquicentennial and 2025-2026 Alumni Hall of Fame celebration.
Brother Parker is a native of Altmore, Alabama. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 1963. He later earned his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in counselor education and mental health from the University of South Florida and the University of Florida, respectively. He retired as a professor in UF’s College of Education.
Brother Parker provided consultation services in diversity and race relations for schools, colleges, and a variety of community agencies throughout the United States. He also authored, co-authored and contributed to several published works.
Brother Parker is a charter member of the Epsilon Epsilon Chapther (Spring 1963) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated at Stillman College, a life member of the fraternity and a long-time member/current member of the Gainesville Alumni Chapter.
