PSAC Chair: Brother Ronald Rawls
Political Action:
The chapter maintains an active presence in civic affairs through attendance and engagement at Alachua County School Board meetings, particularly during periods when discussions emerged regarding potential school closures and broader educational equity concerns. Chapter brothers monitor developments impacting students and families, reinforcing the Fraternity’s long-standing commitment to education advocacy and informed civic participation. This consistent presence positioned the chapter as a visible stakeholder within the local education ecosystem.
Social Action:
Social action initiatives focused on youth advocacy, violence prevention, and health awareness. A cornerstone initiative is our Annual Youth Summit which addresses the intersection of academic success, personal responsibility, and community safety. The summit convenes youth, parents, educators, law enforcement, educators, and community advocates to engage in candid dialogue about the social pressures facing young people, with a focus on prevention, mentorship, and academic accountability. This summit reinforces the chapter’s commitment to proactive, education-centered social intervention rather than reactive responses.
